Star Wars what would have happend to Qui Gon Jinn if he lived?

If Darth Maul had not have killed Qui Gon what do you think would have happend do you think he would have ended up training Anakin instead of Obi Wan or do you think he would have joined the dark side with his master Count Dooku. It’s hard to say what do you all think?

Qui-Gon was generally more impulsive and more defiant than Obi-Wan, so Qui-Gon would have ended up training Anakin regardless of whether the Council granted him permission. However, Qui-Gon had a huge blind spot where Anakin was concerned. (At one point, Obi-Wan said to him, “The boy is dangerous. They all sense it; why can’t you?”)

Therefore, I think that Qui-Gon would have ended up getting killed by Anakin after his (Anakin’s) fall to the Dark Side. Obi-Wan himself took a long time to accept the necessity to confront Anakin; Qui-Gon would either have not seen it at all, or not seen it until it was too late. Also, both Obi-Wan and Anakin were better lightsaber duelists than Qui-Gon. Anakin would have either killed Qui-Gon by stealth (a. la. Sidious vs. Plagieus) or defeated him in a duel. Qui-Gon would not have survived the fight at the end of Revenge of the Sith, for example, whereas Obi-Wan came away almost unscathed.

Qui-Gon has a strong enough personality and a strong enough sense of right and wrong that I don’t see him joining the Dark Side as Dooku did. If Dooku had tried to seduce Qui-Gon to the Dark Side as Palpatine did to Anakin, Qui-Gon’s rebellious streak and personal ethics would have kept him from going along with Dooku.
